The definition of depression, is sad, pressed down, gloomy, a spirit of heaviness. Common vernacular says, "Man, he is really down." That's opposed to being really up. Symptoms. Tired, tired, tired, either sleeps to much or practically not at all. Has many aches and pains. Cries much of the time, seems to be in abject misery. Water flows from the eyes almost all of the time because everything is sad. Negative, everything has something wrong with it. Has no goals, no reason for living. Just wants time to pass. When it is morning, wishes it were evening. When it is evening, wishes for it to be morning. The depressed person often feels trapped and unable to cope with life. This leads to suicide, "for without a vision, people perish". Proverbs 29:18.
